Ron Paul and John Stossel

LINK

I mostly agree with Paul and his campaign for freedom from the chains of government. But on some issues I disagree with him. One of them is presented here. I do not believe that states should be able to theoretically decide that heroin is legal. There are some vices that government should take a stand on and protect the populace from and I believe destructive drugs is one such vice. Legalizing marijuana is debatable but beyond that people should not be given a choice. On the issue of prostitution I also have some reservations about allowing states to legalize it. Cohesive family units (gay or straight) are essential to maintaining a stable society and prostitution could have a hand in undermining these units. But on the other hand women do own their own bodies and can choose to do what they want with them.
