In case you did not know.........

Mike Huckabee is leading in IOWA. He has taken a 3% lead over Romney. And if my co-workers are any indication his performance last night was top notch. This Huckabee is really making me nervous. I cannot deal with another four years of people bringing all policy debates to a halt with the assertion that God picked the president and we must cease all questioning. I almost find myself supporting Rudy and his fear mongering. Maybe the ends justify the means because I think I rather have Rudy than Huckabee as much as I dislike Rudy. I am not so much worried about what impact Huckabee's religion will have on government as much as I am concerned about the continue degradation of Christianity to the point of parody. It truly is just a joke too many self professed Christians. When Huckabee was asked a question about what Jesus would think of the death penalty he deflected it with some folksy humor. And this is what he always does but I am not sure Middle America cares. George W. Bush has turned me off to religion in the public square. I still get chills thinking about him praying to God about what strategy to use in Iraq instead of burying himself in data and research. The outcome in Iraq has proved that either God was not talking to him or God was wrong. I'll go with the former.
