Fred Thompson figures out what more and more realize everyday. Fox News seems to be exclusively backing the campaign of Guiliani. Fred Thompson could promise a return to a more subdued, pragmatic conservatism and Fox News and pragmatism do not go together. Guiliani is a dream candidate for not just Fox News but the whole media establishment. He is running on a platform of perpetual war and aggression abroad, and constantly bellicose rhetoric at home. This means a ratings bonanza for the media. Throw in the queen "B" Hillary and you have a 2 out of 2 chance of having an irrational paranoid jackass in the White House in 2008.
